This 2 Nights / 3 Days journey takes you through scenic mountain roads, peaceful forests, and breathtaking snow-covered trails during winter. The highlight of the trip is the trek to Tungnath Temple, the highest Shiva temple in the world.


After Tungnath, you can continue towards Chandrashila Summit, which offers stunning 360° views of Himalayan peaks like Nanda Devi, Trishul, and Chaukhamba. The sunrise from Chandrashila is truly unforgettable.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 0
  • Begin your journey from Delhi by overnight road travel.
  • Enjoy scenic night drive through Haridwar and Rishikesh routes.
  • Prepare for an early morning arrival in the Garhwal region.
Day 1
  • En route, stop briefly at Devprayag Sangam (Alaknanda & Bhagirathi confluence).
  • Reach Sari Village by late morning or early afternoon.
  • Trek approx. 2.5 km (easy to moderate) to Deoriatal Lake.
  • Enjoy serene mountain reflections at Deoriatal Lake.
  • Return to Sari Village for stay.
  • Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2
  • Enjoy a hearty breakfast at your homestay.
  • Drive to Chopta early in the morning (approx. 1-hour drive).
  • Trek to Tungnath Temple (3.5 km).
  • Optionally continue the trek to Chandrashila Summit (additional 1.5 km).
  • Return to Chopta or Sari by evening. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3
  • Have breakfast in the morning.
  • Begin the return drive toward Delhi.
  • En route, stop at Omkareshwar Temple and the sacred Dhari Devi Temple near Srinagar.
  • Continue the overnight journey to Delhi.
